Regulations & Sanctions in Electronic Commerce
"The New e-Commerce Regulations"
Adina Riposan, Director
Whether the trader via Internet is an e-Merchant or e-Purchaser, the attitude
towards electronic transactions should be the one of a person who is undoubtedly
given the chance of doing business faster, easier and more efficiently,
a business person faced with new and endless opportunities to develop his
performances by the use of Internet. Law shouldn't turn into a mean to discourage
and prevent emerging electronic practices from becoming effective, but sooner
a regulative tool aimed at defining and clarifying critical aspects that
still hold as set-backs against e-Contracting and e-Business development.
Recently, new initiatives have been felt in the attempt to eliminate from
the global virtual space those non-compliant electronic businesses which
fail to bring their websites into line, to meet all the information requirements
stipulated by the new rules.
