Alcatel has launched a Fiber-To-The-User (FTTU) optical fiber

The Bluetooth Special Interest Group is adopting two new application specifications to help drive global adoption of wireless technology. The specifications include the Hands-Free profile, a definition of the way Bluetooth wireless technology will enable hands-free use of mobile phones in automobiles - from the Bluetooth SIG car group - and an imaging profile for transmitting digital images over cellphones - from the Bluetooth SIG Imaging group.
